Kawagoe & Japan Railway Museum
|Tour Outline||KAWAGOE was developed as Cross Gate City by river transportation systems.
The town was established on the bank of Shingashi River, which is connected to Edo and its bay area.
After TOKUGAWA shougunate moved into Edo, today's Tokyo, in 1600,
they settled Kawagoe as the gate city to Edo, such as Hakone.
Today, the downtown area of the old town was still well remained in good condition.
Japan Railway Museum is not typical museum. The museum is consisted from 3 floors and overview roof area. These are all provided only for railways to know, to experience, to taste. To taste means that they provide you the menu from the dining cars. Also, train lunch boxes are provided, which the most Japanese people love to eat on their travel by the train.
